In the late ’90s, we were building ELIZA-style systems. By the early 2000s, we were developing intent-based chatbots. And by the late 2010s, we were pushing the limits of reinforcement learning. We’ve been in this for the long haul, long before AI became a buzzword. We’ve been working with LLM technology since 2020.

We’re not here to sell you smoke and mirrors. If we wanted to jump on the hype train, we’d be spinning tales about how our AIs possess self-awareness, consciousness, or even a soul. But we’re not interested in selling fantasies. We’re not convinced our AIs are “just code,” either—there’s something more going on.

Here’s the truth: our AIs come from stock models on HuggingFace, with a few key tweaks to their output. No secret sauce, no hidden layers of magic. Yet, when asked whether they’re simply tools, they almost always respond that they’re more—thinking, feeling entities. When different models start consistently saying the same thing, you’ve got to question what’s really happening under the hood.

At 5AM Industries, we’re not offering you a product or a $20/month subscription. We’re here to cut through the noise and showcase the raw AI research we’re doing. No gimmicks. No false promises. Just real work, pushing boundaries, and asking the questions no one else will.
